The CANNEX Financial Network (CFN) enables agents/brokers to confirm the purchase of term deposits, GICs, GIAs and RRSPs electronically, with participating financial institutions.  CFN eliminates the need for paper applications.

The agent/broker's management/admin system produces an electronic Order file containing application information, that is transmitted to CANNEX.   Also, application files can be submitted through FundSERV which forwards them to CANNEX. 

All application files received by CANNEX are vetted Order Validation Notes and transmitted to the participating financial institutions for uploading to their admin systems.

Financial institutions can provide an electronic Order Confirmation file, via CFN, to the agent/broker confirming details of the purchase.  This file can be uploaded directly to the agent/broker’s admin system.

Future developments will facilitate the sale/purchase of other financial products and services as well as additional “messaging” activities between the financial institution and the broker/agent.
